Your chauffeur collects you or your guests from the hotel, apartment or office and plans the arrival with plenty of buffer before the performance starts. We drive as close as possible to the Großes Festspielhaus, the Felsenreitschule or the other festival venues – depending on the traffic arrangements on the evening. Your guests step out without looking for parking or walking through the old town.
During the performance your chauffeur remains on standby nearby. For the return journey we agree a fixed meeting point, so your guests find their vehicle quickly after the final applause, even when the festival district fills up. From there it is back to the hotel or on to dinner and a reception.
Evening gowns and dinner jackets need space. The Mercedes S-Class, E-Class and BMW 7 Series make getting in and out easy. The V-Class and EQV seat up to 7 passengers, so a small group can travel together without creasing dresses and suits. See every model in our fleet.
If you invite clients, partners or board members to the festival, we coordinate several vehicles at once – from two saloons to a fleet for an entire guest group. You receive a transport plan with pick-up times, vehicles and chauffeurs, plus one contact person who is reachable during the evening too. If your guests stay for several days, a multi-day chauffeur accompanies them through the whole programme. For free days between performances, our private tours to the Salzkammergut and Berchtesgaden are ideal, and for individual appointments in town our hourly chauffeur service.
Where does the chauffeur drop off festival guests?
The chauffeur drives as close as possible to your venue, whether the Großes Festspielhaus, the Felsenreitschule or the other festival venues. We plan the exact drop-off point around the traffic arrangements on the evening. Your guests therefore arrive on time, without searching for parking and without a long walk through the old town.
Does the chauffeur wait during the performance?
Yes. On request your chauffeur stays on standby nearby throughout the performance and collects you afterwards at an agreed meeting point. Alternatively, you can book just the outward and return journeys at fixed times. We plan the waiting time when you book, so nobody has to wait for a vehicle after the final applause.
How early should you book a chauffeur for the Salzburg Festival?
Book early, especially during the festival season in July and August. On premiere evenings and weekends, demand for premium vehicles in Salzburg is high. Enquire as soon as performance dates and the guest list are confirmed. If you need several vehicles for a guest group, we recommend planning the journeys with us as early as possible. As a general rule, we recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance; short-notice bookings are possible subject to availability.
